Due to our rapid growth, we have a part-time or full-time employment opportunity for an experienced and inspiring teacher of Business and Economics to teach GCSE and A-level.

Applications are sought from teachers with proven specialism in particular secondary key stages as well as those equally confident throughout the secondary range.

We are looking for teachers with these essential skills and traits:  

  • Qualified teacher status.
  • Experience teaching the secondary age range.
  • Experience teaching groups of students.
  • A strong desire to ensure all students succeed, and an understanding of strategies to support those with SEND and mental health difficulties in the virtual classroom.
  • Knowledge and experience of a range of teaching approaches and techniques, including those focused on maximising the potential of the online environment.
  • Strong diagnostic ability and a passion to guide students in their learning.
  • A strong understanding of the assessment requirements, and of the principles of assessment for learning.
  • The ability to engage students from varied backgrounds.
  • A belief in the value of learning from home, and of flipped learning.
  • Enthusiasm for and competence in making the most of technology in education.
  • Experience in collating and creating resources for online learning.

We would especially like to hear from anyone with these additional highly desirable skills:

  • Experience teaching Business and Economics at GCSE and A-level
  • Knowledge of the Economics Edexcel International GCSE specification and A-level and Business Cambridge Internation A-level specification, or the ability to transfer skills from a different exam board
  • Proven experience of making innovative use of technology to stimulate engagement and facilitate the best outcomes in online teaching and learning.
  • Experience creating highly engaging learning content for online delivery.
