With almost 1500 active students in 60+ countries, as well as thousands of alumni from the past 5 years, the Minerva Family is truly global.
This has long been one of students' favourite aspects of the school community - exposure to a vast array of cultures and experiences you may otherwise not have encountered, from Taiwan to Teesside.
Now, with MVA's upcoming 5th birthday celebrations, the school is looking to launch its own Alumni Association in partnership with Alluminate to ensure that vibrant community can easily stay connected and collaborate long after they've left the virtual classroom.
School is about far more than getting some grades and moving on. It's about preparing children for the world and their lives within it. Now, MVA is looking to create a reliable, dependable community that can continue that support for years or decades to come.
The association will be a place where families, students, teachers and staff can collaborate, coordinate and connect, helping each other through all of life's challenges.
The modern world promises to be one that is less certain, and less solid than ever. Career changes are expected, technology is constantly disrupting, the future continues to defy prediction. Why then, in such a world, should Minerva's award-winning pastoral care and personal support stop before that future has even begun?
Over the next week, students, parents and faculty are being surveyed by the team to establish exactly what they would like the alumni association to be and do, with the final model launching later this year.
MVA was launched with one goal in mind: to make sure every single child can go to a school they love.
Now, we hope, every MVA student can continue to love their school long after they've left it, contributing and benefitting from the rich and ever-growing global Minerva community.
It's a very exciting year to be at Minerva. Watch this space.
