It's become a fact of life at Minerva HQ that you will regularly hear feedback from parents so wonderful that it will bring you to the brink of tears. But, usually, it's sent to us privately.
The past few months, however, have seen the launch of both our Trustpilot page and our community-run Subreddit, where students, parents and families have been sharing their experiences for all to read - and what they have to say paints a real picture.
For a start, many talk about finding MVA as the moment things began to turn a corner, often after a long period of struggle.

MVA has been an absolute lifesaver for the whole family. Our son is getting a good education, and is much less stressed than he was in mainstream. I think he's as happy about his education as any normal teenage boy! We told him about Minerva after half a term of refusal and his response was basically "Why didn't you tell me this was an option sooner".
Ex-Student Florrie said on Trustpilot:
My time at MVA was a life changing for me! Switching to Minerva Virtual Academy was the best decision [I ever] made. After struggling with the pressure of a traditional school I finally found that I was able to relax and fully engage into my learning.
And JD on Trustpilot said:
MVA was a godsend to us after our child struggled with mainstream. The onboarding was comprehensive (both for parents and students) and the pastoral care has been second to none.
u/FirefighterNew4348 on Reddit saw a change in their child just from signing up for MVA and no longer needing to face mainstream school, saying:
We’re planning for him to start at MVA in September and honestly, since we made that decision he’s like a different child. School is still tiring for him, but now he knows there’s a change coming he’s much calmer and happier to see the year through to summer.
But, of course, MVA is more than just a change of pace, and many speak about the positive changes they see in their children after a time with us.
Lisa Doe told us on Trustpilot:
One of the most noticeable changes has been in our children’s independence. Both of them (Year 9 and Year 7) are now far more capable of managing their own day-to-day schedules without relying on us, which has been incredibly positive to see.
MVA has encouraged our children to think more openly and confidently, helping them understand that there isn’t just one path when it comes to education. That mindset has been invaluable for them.
This was backed up by G Fiorentino on Trustpilot, who said:
Since joining MVA, we have seen a remarkable transformation in our daughter. She has become far more responsible and has significantly improved her time management and self-discipline. The school’s flexible yet structured approach has given her the tools to take ownership of her learning journey.
We're deeply grateful for these glowing reviews, and are keen to see what else people will have to share in the months and years to come.
If you're interested in hearing directly from MVA families about what life at Minerva is like, reddit.com/r/MinervaVirtualAcademy/ is the place to go. It's entirely community-owned and run, meaning you're getting the experiences straight from the horse's mouth with no influence from that pesky MVA Marketing Team.
Enjoy the conversation, and we hope to see you there from time to time.
