Our Senior Leadership Team, led by Principal Suzanne Lindley, brings deep experience and bold vision to every part of school life. With a shared commitment to innovation, inclusion, and student wellbeing, this team is shaping the future of flexible education — and guiding MVA forward.
Suzanne leads the way as Principal at MVA. With extensive experience in schools in the UK and internationally, she is responsible for shaping the quality of MVA's education, which includes leading our teaching and mentoring team, having daily contact with our students and their families, and directing our unique curriculum. Her favourite subject at school was divided between English Literature and PE.
Sarah has 20 years of experience as a senior leader in outstanding schools in Kent and London. Sarah has been Head of Mathematics, Assistant Headteacher and a Deputy Headteacher in three high profile London schools.Sarah is passionate about enabling students to achieve their potential and reach their goals. After graduating with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Sarah discovered her love for educating while teaching Avionics to members of the Royal Air Force.
Jack has been teaching for the last 6 years, three as a Senior Pro Tutor at Minerva Tutors. Throughout his Minerva career, Jack has worked in home-schooling roles teaching Maths and Science, as well as mentoring students aged 14-18, and has totalled a staggering 5000+ worth of teaching hours, with at least half of those being online. Recently, Jack created a series of live follow-along experiments as a part of "Minerva Tutors TV", which saw students all over the UK beating lockdown boredom by creating everything from insect habitats to rocket launches!
Rebecca is a Senior school Leader with over 15 years’ teaching experience in some of London’s top secondary schools. Her roles have included Teacher of English Language and Literature, Head of Department, Head of Year, Deputy Safeguarding Lead, and Assistant Principal. Following early graduate roles in broadcast media and theatre production, Rebecca began her 15-year teaching career teaching English Language and Literature to all secondary Key Stages, later specialising in A Level. Rebecca is firmly committed to the importance of pastoral care and wellbeing in education.
Dominique has been involved in education since her first part-time job at age 16, when she was a Maths tutor for Kumon Maths. Since then she has constantly been involved in teaching and tutoring, including two years in South Korea. For the last 10 years she has taught Maths in a top academy in London, spending the last 5 years as Head of Maths.
Emma has worked in education for nearly three decades which have taken her to four different school settings. The most recent three schools have all been judged 'outstanding' by Ofsted and have consistently achieved results well above the national average at GCSE and A level and have been praised for their safeguarding and pastoral provision. Her route through education has taken Emma from classroom teacher to Head of Faculty; from Head of Year to Assistant Head (pastoral) and most recently as Deputy Head (safeguarding) at a large, mixed secondary school in SW London.
At MVA, every student is supported by expert subject teachers and a dedicated personal mentor. Our teachers bring deep knowledge and real-world experience to every lesson, while our mentors guide, encourage, and check in regularly — making sure no student ever feels lost or left behind.
Jonathan brings 11 years of experience teaching history in a secondary school in North London before moving to a prominent sixth form college for the next four years. As well as a passion for inspiring students' curiosity about the past, he has always enjoyed and valued his pastoral responsibilities, ensuring students feel supported throughout their learning journey. At MVA, Jonathan looks forward to mentoring students, fostering a positive and inclusive environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
Ornella is a dedicated educator with over 13 years of experience as an Education Consultant, Head of Department, and Teacher. Additionally, Ornella is a Teacher Trainer, Subject and Pedagogy Reviewer, and an AQA Examiner. She has a background in Law and Politics. Ornella has had the privilege to mentor many cohorts of students, both in person and remotely during the pandemic. She is inspired by MVA's mission to provide a nurturing and effective online learning environment as well as opportunities for personal development. Over the years, she has sought to enhance student experiences through extracurricular activities, including organizing trips to the EU Parliament in Strasbourg to promote global awareness and engagement.
Since obtaining a degree in English Literature, Megan has worked as a secondary English teacher and private tutor. In addition to this, Megan has raised awareness in literacy and oracy in two schools as acting literacy coordinator. Moreover, Megan has been an AQA examiner. Having spent time in both the physical classroom and the online setting, Megan has decided to return to teaching online in order to reach more students from a variety of backgrounds.
Maria has taught for 18 years in some of the UKs top schools. She has experience teaching Religious Studies, Philosophy and Ethics and English from Key stage 3 to 5. Maria has experience in pastoral as a head of year and curriculum as a Head Of Philosophy and Ethics and an examiner for OCR and Edexcel. She progressed to become a senior leader in charge of personal development working as an assistant head for 5 years. Maria has moved to online teaching as she has embarked on her own adventure abroad and really champions the benefits of a global online classroom.
Jess has taught in high performing state schools in London and the South West for the past 13 years. She has been a Head of Year for the past six years. Before this, Jess worked as a Head of PE. She is passionate about PE and loves to promote the physical and mental benefits of taking part in physical activity. Jess is passionate about working with young people and has moved into a mentoring role to work more closely with students.
Jessica has over a decade of experience in education in the UK. She has worked in a range of different schools, including time spent as head of science in two of those schools. Jessica specialises in Physics but has confidence in teaching all of the Sciences, across a wide range of exam boards. She has also taught GCSE Astronomy. Jessica's enthusiasm for Physics in the classroom is infectious, and she prides herself in being an approachable and supportive teacher.
