All Questions

How independent can my child be at MVA?

We encourage independent learning, allowing students to take ownership of their education. Our dedicated teachers and mentors are always available to provide students with the support they need.

How hands-on do I have to be as a parent?

Parental involvement varies based on a child's age and personal needs. In Years 7 & 8, some involvement can help students keep up with their work and attend lessons, while addressing any issues or concerns they may have.

What is the Carousel system?

Unique to our Years 7 & 8 curriculum, it gives students the chance to sample a variety of subjects without committing to a full year of study, allowing them to explore their interests and talents before deciding what to pursue in later years.

What if my child needs extra support?

Each child has a dedicated personal mentor who supports their academic progress and overall well-being. We also provide tailored support for students who may have special educational needs, disabilities, or additional social and emotional needs.

What if my child needs additional tuition?

If your child would benefit from additional one-to-one tuition in any subject, we can arrange this through our sister company, Minerva Tutors.
