What is Sixth Form?

6th Form is Years 12 and 13 in the English educational system, typically involving students aged 16 to 18.

What are MVA's Sixth Form entry requirements?

Five GCSEs at Grade 5 or above and passes in English Language and Maths. We usually require GCSE Grade 6 or above in any subject you wish to study at A level, but personal circumstances will be taken into consideration.

How does MVA6 support athletes and performers?

What subjects can I study at MVA's Sixth Form?

We offer a wide range of subjects. Please see the full list here.In addition to A level qualifications, we offer a BTEC in e-sports (for UK students only). If there's a subject you're passionate about that's not in our standard offering we can typically facilitate this through our sister organisation, Minerva Tutors.

How does MVA prepare Sixth Form students for the future?

MVA cares about academic success, but we also aim to develop students' critical thinking, creativity, resilience and communication skills, ensuring our students are well-equipped for the challenges of further study, work, and life.

How does MVA accommodate students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in 6th Form?

We firmly believe that every student should be given the support and resources they need to reach their full potential. For students with SEND, we pair them with a personal mentor who has experience in this area. For more information, see MVA for Diverse Thinkers. Our Virtual Learning Platform is also designed to accommodate a variety of neurodiverse learning styles and needs.

MVA provides comprehensive support for university applications. Our dedicated mentoring team guides students through every step of the process, from choosing the right course and university to writing a compelling personal statement and preparing for interviews. We also offer advice on international applications and student finance.
