Wellbeing & Mental Health at MVA

How we prioritise student wellbeing, and the support we offer at every stage.

Most Asked

What is the role of the Mental Health Team at MVA?

The Mental Health Team is here to support the well-being of all students, families, and staff at MVA. Our aim is to help students flourish, not just during difficult times, but as part of their everyday learning experience. We work to empower young people to take ownership of their mental health and well-being as they navigate the challenges of modern life.

What kind of support does the Mental Health Team offer?

We offer a range of support, including:

- Day-to-day guidance for students, parents, and staff on mental health and well-being.

- Targeted one-to-one interventions for students experiencing mental health challenges, using evidence-based approaches.

- Daily drop-in sessions for students via Google Meet.

- In-house events marking key dates in the mental health calendar to raise awareness.

- Training for MVA staff to continually enhance the school’s mental health provision.

How do I contact the Mental Health Team?

You can reach us by emailing mhsupport@minervavirtual.com and a member of the team will respond promptly.

“Every student and family at MVA receives individual support, and we’re here to help you find what works best for you.”

Can the Mental Health Team replace my GP or other professional services?

No — we do not replace medical or professional mental health services. Instead, we complement them by providing school-based support. We often work in partnership with parents, healthcare professionals, and other organisations to ensure that students receive the best possible help.

Is this service only for students in crisis?

No — we believe that mental health support is important for all students, not just during times of crisis. We encourage students to make use of the team’s support at any time, whether they are facing specific challenges or simply want to build positive habits around well-being.
