Classical Civilisation introduces students to the fascinating world of ancient Greece and Rome, exploring the stories, people, and ideas that have shaped much of modern life. Through myths, epic tales, historical events and everyday life in the ancient world, students begin to understand how classical societies worked and what they believed in. They learn to think deeply about human behaviour, values, and the ways in which the ancient past still influences our language, politics, art, and culture today. The course encourages curiosity, discussion, and a thoughtful approach to big questions about society and identity. It helps students build skills in analysis, comparison and storytelling, while connecting with some of the most exciting and enduring stories ever told.

Computing helps students understand the digital world around them and gives them the tools to take part in it with confidence. They begin to explore how computers work, what’s inside them, and how they follow instructions to solve problems. Students learn to write code using languages like Python, developing logical thinking and problem-solving skills along the way. They discover how to spot patterns, break big problems into smaller steps, and fix errors when things go wrong. As they build their skills, students start to see how computing connects to real life — from everyday tasks to exciting careers.
