Suzanne Lindley Becomes First Online School Principal to Join HMC

I am delighted to announce that, in a landmark moment, HMC (The Head’s Conference) has welcomed me as an International Associate, the first Principal of an online school ever to do so.

I am honoured to be included in this vibrant community of heads and educators from some of the world’s leading independent schools – this is a huge step forward for MVA, online education, and for a fairer and more compassionate education landscape.

Education is more effective when we share and collaborate to innovate a brighter future – to be able to bring the huge leaps that online schooling has achieved to the conversation is a responsibility I am thrilled to undertake.

Part of the global discussion

It’s no secret that education is strained, particularly in the UK. Many children find themselves unhappy, unsupported, or unable to engage, and the traditional education system routinely finds itself unable to adapt to the challenges.

Proven success stories like MVA are evidence that children who struggled in one form of school can thrive in another, and that more options for families can be the way forward.

But wider change is difficult to drive alone. MVA is still a relatively new and small organisation.

With the support of HMC and the range of established leaders within it, we become part of a much larger and more powerful voice.

MVA was founded on the idea that every child should be able to enjoy school.

With this new community of mutual support, we are now much closer to being able to make that a reality.

Thank you

Finally, I would like to thank the fantastic team at Minerva who support me in my role as Principal. I would not be able to do what I do without them at my side every day, so this achievement is every bit as much theirs as it is mine.

I may be the person representing us, but we all made this happen, and we will all reap the benefits of global cooperation with some of the best and brightest that independent schooling has to offer.

Thank you, all. And thank you to the teachers, students and their families who have made MVA the success it is today.
