Our Senior Leadership Team, led by Principal Suzanne Lindley, brings deep experience and bold vision to every part of school life. With a shared commitment to innovation, inclusion, and student wellbeing, this team is shaping the future of flexible education — and guiding MVA forward.
Suzanne leads the way as Principal at MVA. With extensive experience in schools in the UK and internationally, she is responsible for shaping the quality of MVA's education, which includes leading our teaching and mentoring team, having daily contact with our students and their families, and directing our unique curriculum. Her favourite subject at school was divided between English Literature and PE.
Sarah has 20 years of experience as a senior leader in outstanding schools in Kent and London. Sarah has been Head of Mathematics, Assistant Headteacher and a Deputy Headteacher in three high profile London schools.Sarah is passionate about enabling students to achieve their potential and reach their goals. After graduating with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Sarah discovered her love for educating while teaching Avionics to members of the Royal Air Force.
Jack has been teaching for the last 6 years, three as a Senior Pro Tutor at Minerva Tutors. Throughout his Minerva career, Jack has worked in home-schooling roles teaching Maths and Science, as well as mentoring students aged 14-18, and has totalled a staggering 5000+ worth of teaching hours, with at least half of those being online. Recently, Jack created a series of live follow-along experiments as a part of "Minerva Tutors TV", which saw students all over the UK beating lockdown boredom by creating everything from insect habitats to rocket launches!
Rebecca is a Senior school Leader with over 15 years’ teaching experience in some of London’s top secondary schools. Her roles have included Teacher of English Language and Literature, Head of Department, Head of Year, Deputy Safeguarding Lead, and Assistant Principal. Following early graduate roles in broadcast media and theatre production, Rebecca began her 15-year teaching career teaching English Language and Literature to all secondary Key Stages, later specialising in A Level. Rebecca is firmly committed to the importance of pastoral care and wellbeing in education.
Dominique has been involved in education since her first part-time job at age 16, when she was a Maths tutor for Kumon Maths. Since then she has constantly been involved in teaching and tutoring, including two years in South Korea. For the last 10 years she has taught Maths in a top academy in London, spending the last 5 years as Head of Maths.
Emma has worked in education for nearly three decades which have taken her to four different school settings. The most recent three schools have all been judged 'outstanding' by Ofsted and have consistently achieved results well above the national average at GCSE and A level and have been praised for their safeguarding and pastoral provision. Her route through education has taken Emma from classroom teacher to Head of Faculty; from Head of Year to Assistant Head (pastoral) and most recently as Deputy Head (safeguarding) at a large, mixed secondary school in SW London.
At MVA, every student is supported by expert subject teachers and a dedicated personal mentor. Our teachers bring deep knowledge and real-world experience to every lesson, while our mentors guide, encourage, and check in regularly — making sure no student ever feels lost or left behind.
Charlotte's passion for mathematics began at a young age and her love for the subject led her to pursue a degree in Mathematics for Finance, deepening her understanding of its practical uses. Wanting to share this enthusiasm with others, she completed a PGCE and has since spent eight years as a secondary maths teacher and form tutor. She has also taught other subjects such as ICT and provided private tuition, tailoring lessons to suit individual needs. Charlotte is committed to making maths engaging and accessible for everyone, helping students build confidence and succeed.
Jane's teaching career began with an overseas holiday job which extended to 3 years teaching English in Greece and Portugal. On her return, she gained a PGCE in EAL and spent the next 10 years as an ESOL Programme Manager at City of Bristol College. After a brief stint working in a series of ESOL and HE education projects she headed overseas where she spent 5 years teaching IGCSE English in a secondary school in Brunei. She then headed to China using her EAL specialist knowledge to support secondary mainstream subject specialists in making their content more comprehensible to second language learners. Returning to the UK, Jane led EAL at an independent school before moving into online teaching and second language CLIL consultancy work.
I have been a teacher for the past 16 years and Drama is my specialist subject. I have only taught in the UK, specifically England and Wales. My first job was in Southampton, where I completed my NQT year. I have worked in both mainstream (single sex and co-ed settings) and specialist settings. Prior to joining MVA, I was Acting Head of Performing Arts for two years. I love Drama and attend the theatre regularly. However SEN is my passion and I am a firm advocate for Inclusion. In June 2023, I completed the National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination gaining a post graduate certificate.
Millie's teaching journey has taken her from the US to the UK, with stops ranging from Illinois to Surrey. In her five years of teaching, she's been Head of PSHE and has led the Wellbeing Center at an international boarding school. With a diverse skill set that includes teaching subjects like Food Tech and Child Development, her primary drive is ensuring students' well-being.
Jennie has taught History and RE in a top Lincolnshire Academy for 8 years and is returning to teaching from a break where she worked for a charity supporting deafblind people. She has vast GCSE and A-Level experience and is known for championing mental health. Her love of History began as a small child, being taken to National Trust properties by her parents! She enjoys online teaching because of its inclusivity and constant development.
Kerry has taught in UK secondary schools for over 20 years and is an experienced teacher of science and physics. She is also a Principal Examiner for OCR and Cambridge International and is also involved in the production of GCSE and A Level examination papers. Kerry is a credited trainer for Cambridge International which involves delivering evidence based research and training materials on Physics IGCSE to teachers in international schools. Kerry has delivered training most recently in Jordan and Qatar. Kerry is was also a trained counselor for Childline and finds these skills invaluable in supporting young people as they journey through school whether online or in traditional schools.
