Our Senior Leadership Team, led by Principal Suzanne Lindley, brings deep experience and bold vision to every part of school life. With a shared commitment to innovation, inclusion, and student wellbeing, this team is shaping the future of flexible education — and guiding MVA forward.
Suzanne leads the way as Principal at MVA. With extensive experience in schools in the UK and internationally, she is responsible for shaping the quality of MVA's education, which includes leading our teaching and mentoring team, having daily contact with our students and their families, and directing our unique curriculum. Her favourite subject at school was divided between English Literature and PE.
Sarah has 20 years of experience as a senior leader in outstanding schools in Kent and London. Sarah has been Head of Mathematics, Assistant Headteacher and a Deputy Headteacher in three high profile London schools.Sarah is passionate about enabling students to achieve their potential and reach their goals. After graduating with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Sarah discovered her love for educating while teaching Avionics to members of the Royal Air Force.
Jack has been teaching for the last 6 years, three as a Senior Pro Tutor at Minerva Tutors. Throughout his Minerva career, Jack has worked in home-schooling roles teaching Maths and Science, as well as mentoring students aged 14-18, and has totalled a staggering 5000+ worth of teaching hours, with at least half of those being online. Recently, Jack created a series of live follow-along experiments as a part of "Minerva Tutors TV", which saw students all over the UK beating lockdown boredom by creating everything from insect habitats to rocket launches!
Rebecca is a Senior school Leader with over 15 years’ teaching experience in some of London’s top secondary schools. Her roles have included Teacher of English Language and Literature, Head of Department, Head of Year, Deputy Safeguarding Lead, and Assistant Principal. Following early graduate roles in broadcast media and theatre production, Rebecca began her 15-year teaching career teaching English Language and Literature to all secondary Key Stages, later specialising in A Level. Rebecca is firmly committed to the importance of pastoral care and wellbeing in education.
Dominique has been involved in education since her first part-time job at age 16, when she was a Maths tutor for Kumon Maths. Since then she has constantly been involved in teaching and tutoring, including two years in South Korea. For the last 10 years she has taught Maths in a top academy in London, spending the last 5 years as Head of Maths.
Emma has worked in education for nearly three decades which have taken her to four different school settings. The most recent three schools have all been judged 'outstanding' by Ofsted and have consistently achieved results well above the national average at GCSE and A level and have been praised for their safeguarding and pastoral provision. Her route through education has taken Emma from classroom teacher to Head of Faculty; from Head of Year to Assistant Head (pastoral) and most recently as Deputy Head (safeguarding) at a large, mixed secondary school in SW London.
At MVA, every student is supported by expert subject teachers and a dedicated personal mentor. Our teachers bring deep knowledge and real-world experience to every lesson, while our mentors guide, encourage, and check in regularly — making sure no student ever feels lost or left behind.
Kate Winter has worked as a teacher at some of London's highest achieving independent day schools for over 15 years, including King’s College School (KCS) Wimbledon, Wetherby School, Eaton House School and Northcote Lodge School. As a qualified Specialist Teacher in Dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs), Kate has extensive experience of teaching and supporting neurodiverse students. Before becoming a teacher, Kate worked as a print and broadcast news reporter and features writer in Ireland, and continues to put these valuable communication skills to use when teaching. Kate strives to make her lessons creative, engaging and motivational.
Helena is a vocational specialist and English teacher with her specialism of Media and Film Studies. She has also led on PSHE for over 5 years in her current physical school. Her love of technology and education intrigued her to join on an online school like MVA which she has been enjoying delivering Wellbeing lessons since January.
Caroline has taught and tutored in Art & Design (from KS2 to A level) and Art & Design History, including Film Studies (from A level to postgraduate), for over 30 years. She specialises in recognising and nurturing talent, as well as quietly encouraging & restoring confidence in those who are overwhelmed or a bit lost. Caroline loves constantly discovering and making connections in Art that help us make sense of the world around us, both seen and unseen. She is enjoying the challenge of sharing her experience and expertise in an online school setting.
Julie has taught in secondary education for 23 years. Her degree is in Geography with IT. She started as an IT technician with no intention of becoming a teacher! She was asked to train on the Graduate Teacher Programme, learnt to teach IT and never looked back! She then became Head of IT along with safeguarding lead, then moved to the pastoral side which has always been her passion, and became Head of Year in the Sixth Form. She has also taught Music and Geography over the years too. She moved to online teaching in 2024 and is loving it!
Robyn has over ten years teaching experience, working in a diverse range of educational settings. These include a top international school in Cambodia, an inner-city London school, and online as an English and History tutor to students located across the globe. As the Wellbeing and Inclusion lead for Key Stage 3, Robyn is experienced in supporting students to thrive and be confident in their educational journey. She is empathetic and dedicated to advocating for young people, something that she is even more passionate about since having her own children. Robyn is now happily settled with her family in beautiful, rural Norfolk.
Laura has taught Geography in South West England for 16 years. During this time, she has also served in the roles of Head of Humanities, Director of Sixth Form and Assistant Headteacher, where she was the school lead for all aspects of Teaching and Learning. Additionally, Laura has coached teachers, and loves discussing how to help students learn! Laura is really pleased to move into online teaching at MVA and join the team in making sure all students can enjoy school!
