I have spent the last 10 years of my career working in one the top 25 state schools in the country. Here, I developed my love for pastoral care, working closely to support all students in recognising their individual needs. I am a champion for the students, always striving to achieve what is best for them. I have experience as a private tutor and many years experience as a Head of Year working in particular to support families experiencing EBSA issues. I have also worked as a examiner during this time. I have moved in online teaching as I believe that the current model of education is no longer "fit for purpose". Not all students can excel in their learning by sitting at a desk for up to 6 hours a day. Online learning enables us to recognise this and understand that as individuals we all learn in different ways and as teachers it is our responsibility to unlock that potential in each of our young learners.
