Our Senior Leadership Team, led by Principal Suzanne Lindley, brings deep experience and bold vision to every part of school life. With a shared commitment to innovation, inclusion, and student wellbeing, this team is shaping the future of flexible education — and guiding MVA forward.
Suzanne leads the way as Principal at MVA. With extensive experience in schools in the UK and internationally, she is responsible for shaping the quality of MVA's education, which includes leading our teaching and mentoring team, having daily contact with our students and their families, and directing our unique curriculum. Her favourite subject at school was divided between English Literature and PE.
Sarah has 20 years of experience as a senior leader in outstanding schools in Kent and London. Sarah has been Head of Mathematics, Assistant Headteacher and a Deputy Headteacher in three high profile London schools.Sarah is passionate about enabling students to achieve their potential and reach their goals. After graduating with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Sarah discovered her love for educating while teaching Avionics to members of the Royal Air Force.
Jack has been teaching for the last 6 years, three as a Senior Pro Tutor at Minerva Tutors. Throughout his Minerva career, Jack has worked in home-schooling roles teaching Maths and Science, as well as mentoring students aged 14-18, and has totalled a staggering 5000+ worth of teaching hours, with at least half of those being online. Recently, Jack created a series of live follow-along experiments as a part of "Minerva Tutors TV", which saw students all over the UK beating lockdown boredom by creating everything from insect habitats to rocket launches!
Rebecca is a Senior school Leader with over 15 years’ teaching experience in some of London’s top secondary schools. Her roles have included Teacher of English Language and Literature, Head of Department, Head of Year, Deputy Safeguarding Lead, and Assistant Principal. Following early graduate roles in broadcast media and theatre production, Rebecca began her 15-year teaching career teaching English Language and Literature to all secondary Key Stages, later specialising in A Level. Rebecca is firmly committed to the importance of pastoral care and wellbeing in education.
Dominique has been involved in education since her first part-time job at age 16, when she was a Maths tutor for Kumon Maths. Since then she has constantly been involved in teaching and tutoring, including two years in South Korea. For the last 10 years she has taught Maths in a top academy in London, spending the last 5 years as Head of Maths.
Emma has worked in education for nearly three decades which have taken her to four different school settings. The most recent three schools have all been judged 'outstanding' by Ofsted and have consistently achieved results well above the national average at GCSE and A level and have been praised for their safeguarding and pastoral provision. Her route through education has taken Emma from classroom teacher to Head of Faculty; from Head of Year to Assistant Head (pastoral) and most recently as Deputy Head (safeguarding) at a large, mixed secondary school in SW London.
At MVA, every student is supported by expert subject teachers and a dedicated personal mentor. Our teachers bring deep knowledge and real-world experience to every lesson, while our mentors guide, encourage, and check in regularly — making sure no student ever feels lost or left behind.
Before becoming a teacher, Jenny worked with children and young people both in public libraries and in school libraries for many years. She is a native German speaker who has had a huge passion for languages since childhood. Working in schools inspired her to combine her passion for supporting young people with her linguistic talent and she retrained to be an MFL Teacher in 2018. After six years of teaching in a renowned secondary school in England, Jenny moved to Scotland and the fantastic opportunity to become an Online Teacher and Mentor at MVA came at the perfect time!
Alyson has taught in the UK for over 20 years in both independent and state schools. She has been a SENDCo for over 20 years specialising in teaching and supporting those with Dyslexia, ASD and Speech and Language difficulties. Alongside this she has been a class teacher, mentor and head of year. With her passion for those students who struggle to learn, she is enjoying being able to support them through mentoring and the benefits of a virtual learning environment.
Awarded a first class degree in Economics from a top London University, Lucy has spent her career teaching in a variety of schools in the UK in both the state and independent sector for 14 years. Most recently she has been appointed as Head of Business and Economics at a prestigious independent school. An experienced examiner having examined both Business and Economics for AQA, Edexcel and IB, Lucy also has the role of Team Leader in the summer 2024 exam series. Lucy also worked at an international school in Bali, Indonesia where she achieved record results for her students.
Linda has combined her love and knowledge of Art along with her experience as a freelance textile designer, to teach across all of the key stages in both the state and independent sectors for the last 19 years. Her other roles have included form tutor, member of the sixth form team supporting students with university applications and as a practitioner for an art therapeutic practice that supports the social and emotional wellbeing of young people through drawing. She is excited to be able to use her experience to mentor students at MVA.
With a background and Masters in wellbeing and a passion for human development, Ro infused her classroom teaching with coaching practices before choosing to focus fully on coaching and mentoring within education. She uses coaching and positive psychology to help students and educators unlock their personal, professional and academic potential in a gentle and empowering way. Ro leads her mentees on journeys of self-discovery, helping them to find out what being well and functioning optimally means to them, so they can thrive both in and outside school.
With over 20 years in education, Laura has a wealth of experience as an English and drama teacher across primary, secondary and further education colleges. She has undertaken many roles and her expertise extends to mental health and special educational needs, ensuring holistic support for all students. Through these diverse roles, Laura has developed innovative teaching methods, supported both students and colleagues and advocated for underprivileged students, continuously striving for equity in education for all.
