The Circle of Ice: Hundreds of MVA students get their skates on for Christmas

More than 200 MVA students gathered at London's beautiful Somerset House in December for the 2025 Christmas school trip, wrapping up the school's best ever year of trips and activities outside the virtual classroom.

Students enjoyed a day of ice skating, as well as the opportunity to catch up with friends, teachers and mentors face-to-face in the winter sun.

(Years 9 and 10 did get a little bit caught in the rain, but it wasn't enough to dampen their Christmas spirits)

Skating was then followed by a trip to the theatre, with a fantastic viewing of The Lion King for Years 7 & 8, and a journey to the past in Back To The Future for Years 9-13.

All groups then headed for a delicious meal at Bella Italia to cap off the year and celebrate Christmas together before the holidays.

This marks the end of a record-breaking number of trips and clubs at MVA in 2025, including a historic approval to provide The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, an experimental iRacing league in partnership with Drivers Lab, our first trips in the UAE, and our very first multi-day overnight residential.

The feedback has been phenomenal, and we have heard it loud and clear.
