Teaching SEND kids in cupboards and cabins isn’t acceptable in 2023 and Online School could be the key

According to a recent report by the BBC, half of the state-funded schools in England for children with special educational needs and disabilities are oversubscribed, with some students being taught in cupboards due to a lack of space.

We have already seen the transformational effects of online schooling, and we know that this could be the solution to give every child the opportunity to learn in an environment suited to them. We need the support of the wider education community to ensure that online learning is considered as a viable alternative to traditional schooling, particularly for children who are struggling to access the education they need.
