Last week, we released the results of our landmark survey - The Anatomy of Anxiety in British Secondary Schools - of more than 2000 families across the UK, digging into the school absence crisis and the reasons why so many children are struggling to get to the classroom.
The findings were striking, revealing that half of UK secondary school pupils have missed or avoided school due to anxiety, for a range of reasons from exam stress to the fear of falling behind.
A lot of these findings aren't new, the causes of absence have been long identified, but the continuing wide range of anxieties are a sobering and important point to remember, even as overall absences have fallen slightly.
This is the conversation we need to be having if we want to build a better educational future for children everywhere - this phenomenal coverage is a big part of that.
