Daniel Miron Lorente is a name you may want to remember.
Last week, the young driver was selected to join Scuderia Ferrari HP's prestigious young driver programme - a recognition of his skill, talent, and potential to be one of the very best in his sport.
And there's no question about the skill. As Fabian Spiess - BA (Hons), M.Sc. put it in a recent post:
Daniel's karting record speaks for itself: 2026 ROK Cup Superfinal Champion, back-to-back WSK Euro Series titles in 2023 and 2024, more than 12 titles in international karting, and a runner-up finish in the European OK-Junior Championship. In 2027, he steps up to the OK class as part of the Academy.
But Fabian also praised what the sporting world doesn't see:
What the results don't show is the work behind them. Racing at this level means weeks on the road, training around a packed calendar, and keeping up with school from paddocks across Europe. Daniel has handled all of it with real discipline and maturity, and it has been a privilege to support his education along the way.
And he's right.
We at MVA love the fact that students like Daniel can fully embrace their sport without needing to sacrifice their education.
That still doesn't mean it's easy, however. Only possible. Daniel has shown incredible resilience and focus in managing both his career and his schooling, and we highly commend him for it as he takes this next momentous step into the future.

When asked about what this achievement means to him, Daniel said:
Joining Scuderia Ferrari is a dream that every driver has at some point in their racing career. I am very happy and, above all, incredibly excited to become part of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy and begin this new chapter within such a special organisation. For me, this represents an enormous opportunity and, at the same time, a responsibility. I know exactly what my goal is, and I work every day to achieve it. I believe that being part of Ferrari is the perfect place to continue building the path towards my ultimate dream: reaching Formula 1.
It's a dream that is now much closer. So, racing fans, keep an eye out for Daniel on your screens as he and the next generation of drivers hone their craft.
From all of us here at MVA, well done, Daniel.
