This session: Can you trust a mirror?
An interactive 30-minute live lesson with one of our subject specialists. You'll get a real feel for how Minerva Virtual Academy lessons run - small groups, lots of discussion, and the kind of teaching that brings the subject to life.
Can two people look at exactly the same thing and see something completely different? In this interactive English masterclass, we’ll explore optical illusions, poetry and the fascinating idea of perspective. Using Sylvia Plath’s Mirror as our starting point, you’ll decide whether the mirror really tells the truth; and then create your own piece of writing from an unexpected point of view. Come ready to share your ideas, challenge other people’s thinking and discover that in English, there isn’t always just one right answer.
Who is this event for?
Open to students in All Years who are curious about joining Minerva Virtual Academy, or who'd simply like to experience one of our live lessons. Parents are welcome to sit in.
